Mason County Fiscal Court
Special Session
August 27, 2009
9:00 a.m.


The meeting was called to Order by Judge/Executive James L. “Buddy” Gallenstein. Present were Commissioner Donald Tumey (District 3), Commissioner F. J. “Bear” Finn (District 2), Commissioner Patrick McKay IV (District 1), Sheriff Patrick Boggs, County Treasurer Kim Muse, and County Attorney, John Estill. Media from the Ledger Independent was also present.

County Treasurer

Motion by Commissioner Finn and seconded by Commissioner McKay to pay claims in the amount of $322.91 as presented.

Judge/Executive Gallenstein - Yes

2009 – 2010 Tax Rates / Resolution 09-16

Motion by Commissioner McKay and seconded by Commissioner Finn to approve Resolution 09-16 relating to the levy and adoption of tax rates for Mason County and the approval and/or acceptance of tax rates for special districts and other taxing districts.

Judge/Executive Gallenstein - Yes

Judge Gallenstein announced that, due to a communication error, there will need to be another Special Meeting scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on August 31st to award the Phase 2 Landfill Gas Management System bid.

There being no further business, motion was made by Commissioner Finn and seconded by Commissioner McKay to adjourn the August 27, 2009 special meeting of the Mason County Fiscal Court.
